Please watch the high speed 4 min complete following video before starting to assemble your NOCLOCK watch

Now watch the following videos and read all the associated instructions step by step while assembling your NOCLOCK parts

1. Position the glass gasket

Do not hurt the gasket with the tweezer. Caution: put the gasket on the thickest side of the cylinder.

2. Put the crystal on the container

Do not put your fingers on the internal part of the crystal and do not forget to remove the plastic film on both sides.

Do not use pliers to press the cylinder as the crystal may break.

If you do not have any vice, use any flat and hard object you may find as long as it is larger than the ring.

Always place the container between two handkerchieves when you press.

3. Position the o-ring around the container

Do not hurt the gasket with the tweezer.

4. Put the movement into the movement holder

The swissmade movement of your NOCLOCK is the most precious and fragile part of the kit. Do not use your fingers !

The time set up device of the movement is at the back of the movement: try not to exert any pressure on it.

5. Remove the working hand

Caution: once the working hand (A) has been removed, the tiny cylinder (B) that will hold the hours hand can fall, as well as an even tinier piece that is attached to it : the tinsel (C).

Do not turn the movement upside down if the working hand has been removed!

Do not try to place back the working hand if it has been removed, as it may hurt the movement.

6. Place the dial onto the movement

Do not turn the movement upside down before having placed the dial on it!

7. Stick the dial plate

The kit contains two plastic plates (white and orange) and one black eloxed aluminium one.

You can put the plates on both sides wether you want to see the indexes or not.

You may then draw on the plastic plates or engrave the aluminium one with a laser cutter.

It is necessary to stick (very) slightly the plate on the dial so that it does not move later (caution: the glue may appear through the orange plate ; don’t use too much).

It is also possible not to use our coloured plates and/or to remplace them with wood, paper or any surface you may want to stick in your NOCLOCK.

8. Make the hands guide

This step is essentiel to avoid problems in the next one.

9. Place the Hours and the minutes hands

Placing the hands is the most delicate (and difficult) step of the procedure. Please be very careful.

The hours hand should be put on the watch cannon, i.e. on the lower and thicker part of the stem that sticks out of the plate.

The minutes hand should be put above the watch cannon, i.e. on the upper and thiner part of the stem that sticks out of the plate.

Please follow exactly the steps shown in the video and use the cardboard sheet included so that the hands do not touch the plate and do not touch each other.

You may also decide to make your own hands, to draw on the ones provided in the kit or to use only one of them: if you attach it on the hours wheel, you will then get a “philosophical watch”.

10. Position the bottom gasket

The easiest part of the procedure! Nothing to care about. Enjoy this welcome cognitive rest. 🙂

11. Close the container

Before assembling the bottom and the cylinder, make sure you have positionned the two hands in the direction of the “flat” part of the bottom edge. This part will later be the noon direction.

Still, if you do not plan to wear your NOCLOCK on your wrist, or if you want to put the noon direction elswhere, feel free to do it!

Do not use pliers to press the cylinder as the crystal may break.

If you do not have any vice, use any flat and hard object you may find as long as it is larger than the ring.

Always place the container between two handkerchieves when you press.

12. Set the time

Last but not least… set your watch on time!

If you want to stick or insert your NOCLOCK in a specific place, do not forget to leave an access to this pin.

And if you have the NOCLOCK add-on, here are a few more steps to get your whole wristwatch ready

13. Open the add-on and get the bezel

If you do not have the add-on, you can of course purchase it on our online shop but you can also put your NOCLOCK in the object of your choice.

If you are a maker and/or have access to a fablab, you will find here .stl files adapted to NOCLOCK that will allow you to 3D-print your bezel by yourself.

14. How to use the orange wristband (straps)

If ever you were wondering how it works… 🙂

15. How to fix the leather wristband

The wristbands springs are quite strong: be careful not to loose them if they jump off when you try to attach or remove them.

16. Make your complete watch

The flat part of the bezel should be aligned and blocked on the flat part of the container, towards the “noon” direction.

17. How to re-open your NOCLOCK

This option will let you change the hands as well as the dial. You might even go further and hack it, replacing the movement with anything else.

Still, it is a very delicate operation and you should not let the kids do it.

Use anti-cutting security gloves if you want to open it with a knife blade. Take your time, step by step, to avoid accident, joint damages and scratches on your NOCLOCK.

In case you do not feel comfortable, bring your watch to an jewelers and they will open it for you.

If the joint is damaged after the opening, use the second one we have added in the kit.
